Sept 10, 2009: As fashion week kicks off in NYC, Karl Lagerfeld celebrates (or doesn't?)* his birthday...For the sake of my sweet boyfriend I pretend to be excited by the start of the American football season (woop woop!), but what I'm really hee-hawing is Lagerfeld, "whose gorgeous vesture heaps the ground". Lagerfeld! Your philosophy, from fashion to food, I follow!

Sinha-Stanic: Outrageous Pearl

Fiona Sinhar and Alexandar Stanic, together Sinhar-Stanic, put together one of the most anticipated shows at London Fashion week. For me, this Fall 2009 collection looks very retro 90's (graphic sheer prints, colored tights, a bit of grunge, and Dr. Martin-style boots...) THEN it goes rather rocker-gothic-flapper, with a nod to traditional Cockney costume. Absolutely brilliant and exactly what I want to be wearing right now. I want to be a pearly queen and have a pearly family!
